Episodic Numbness In Tongue, Lips, And Fingers
About two weeks ago my wife and I arrived outside a restaurant and waited for some friends. All of the sudden my lips on the right side of my face and the tip of my tongue on the rights side went numb, like novacaine at the dentist. The tip of my thumb and the tips of my index and second finger also went numb. It was very concerning and then it passed in about 30 second or so, definitely under a minute. The next morning it happened about 5 or 6 times in the space of a couple of hours. It has not happened to me since which was about 10 days ago. It happened again this morning but not to the same extent, milder. and it felt like it was going to happen at least 2 other times today, but never reached the same level as the first time it happened. Has anyone had this before? Thanks

Have you been diagnosed with Migraine? Do you have Migraine or head pain when this happens? You didn't mention that in your question, that is why I'm asking. At this point, if you haven't already done so, would be to contact your doctor and explain your new symptoms to him. Any time we have new or different symptoms we need to discuss them with our doctor.
There is a type of Migraine called acephalgic or silent Migraine that has every phase of a Migraine but the headache phase. I'm not suggesting you have this, rather giving you information to share with your doctor. Continue readingAcephalgic Migraine -The Basics.
